What we do

Penfam offers three main services designed by solicitors for solicitors:

The Penfam report service: a report which sets out the value of the pension rights and a list of suggested options for dealing with those rights. It is prepared using neutral actuarial assumptions and is designed to be used for joint instructions in accordance with the practice notes, to help complete Form E and be simple and straightforward to use.

The fee is anticipated to be approximately £1,000 + VAT.  This fee includes valuations of up to 3 pension interests.  The standard report service also includes follow up advice and assistance.

The supplemental advice service: a service designed to meet the needs of parties with more complex pension provision. In some circumstances our standard report will not be appropriate to your needs.  As part of the service we will complete an early assessment of the complexities of the case and might recommend that this service would be of better value to you and your clients. A member of our staff will contact you to discuss fees and other arrangements.  The supplemental advice service uses bespoke actuarial assumptions, and is suitable for use either as a joint instructed or sole instructed service. It includes the ability to retain expert witnesses.  To use this service, click here.

The financial advice service: a service which allows solicitors to pass over the complex task of advising on what to do with the pension arrangements after the divorce is concluded. This is a free service provided in conjunction with your own preferred IFA or our own team of IFAs. To use this service, click here.

Other advice and support is offered on request.
